Research Informatics Training

Interested in genomics, synthetic biology, evolution, and everything in between. I want to understand how genomes evolve and how they are regulated, and use this knowledge in genome engineering. I'm also passionate about science communication.

Research

I am a PhD student working on assays to measure the effect of mutations on transcription factors. My research involves deep mutational scanning to generate transcription factor mutants, and next generation sequencing to measure the effect of those mutants. I’m interested in how mutations affect the allostery and binding interfaces of transcription factors, and I am developing the assays to measure this.
