Principal Bioinformatician at Cancer Research UK (CRUK) - Manchester Institute
I am a Computational Biologist with strong background in genomic analysis and machine learning. My research is mainly focused on working with multi-omic data to answer complex biological questions. I have analysed large scale genomic data and developed high-throughput computational tools during my PhD research at University of Cambridge, UK.
Dr. Adi Steif’s research is focused on developing and applying computational methods for high-throughput genomics, with a particular interest in characterizing disease mechanisms and evolution in the context of cancer. New measurement technologies are enabling large-scale genetic, transcriptomic and epigenetic profiling of tissues at the single cell level. Working alongside experimental collaborators, Dr. Steif uses statistical machine learning approaches to derive biological insights from these high-dimensional datasets in the presence of noise and measurement bias.
Experienced Senior Bioinformatics Developer with a demonstrated history of working in the research industry. Skilled in Python, Database, Automation, Data Management and Bioinformatics.
Sergio is an associate director in hit discovery bioinformatics at AstraZeneca R&D leading a group developing computational approaches for target identification and new therapeutics discovery. He builds from his early training in medicinal chemistry and biochemistry followed with a PhD and postdoc in bioinformatics and cheminformatics and develops projects in collaboration with laboratory colleagues and clinical scientists.
