Jacqueline Boccacino

Jacqueline is a PhD student at the Wellcome Sanger Institute and the University of Cambridge. Before starting her doctoral studies, she worked as a bioinformatician for a year in Dr. David Adams' Experimental Cancer Genetics group at the Wellcome Sanger Institute. Jacqueline obtained a BSc degree in Molecular Sciences from the University of São Paulo (USP) and carried out undergraduate-level research in the Laboratory of Neurobiology and Stem Cells of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences of USP, under the supervision of Dr. Marilene H. Lopes.

I am a PhD student in Clinical Neurosciences at University of Cambridge, working on developing a vascularized brain organoid/assembiod model for studying neurodegenerative diseases (eg., ALS/FTD) in Dr. Andras Lakatos' lab (Department of Clinical Neurosciences) and Professor Yan Yan Shery Huang's lab (Department of Engineering).

Stephane is a Principal Bioinformatician in cellular genetics.

Using computational methods for analysis of single cell omics and spatial data, he investigates the development and functional maturation of the human cell types in the whole embryo or specific organs such as the skin.
